Eusanet has created an innovative community broadband service for German residents trapped in the Digital Divide. The solution is a combination between satellite broadband access and existing infrastructure on the ground to deliver a shared community broadband service for rural villages. With a capacity of 16 Mbps downlink service, it is a triple play since it provides television and telephony services too. Recognised for its innovation at regional and national levels, the solution is accepted and desired by politicians. Furthermore, Eusanet is already testing a new version of the community service to offer download speeds of up to 50 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 10 Mbps.
